Just know that your videos will not rank as high on YouTube, Google, and similar search engines. If nobody can find your content, then you certainly won’t experience any conversions. First thing to do is keyword optimization is the way to go, If you want people to find your video through organic search, you need to have the right keywords on your pages so you can rank highly in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
The first step is to identify the keywords you want to rank for on your homepage, product pages, and blog posts. You should know the difference between body and long-tail keywords. Body keywords are 2- or 3-word phrases that get decent search volume. They are more specific than single-word keywords, which are insanely competitive, too broad, and don’t convert well. While long-tail keywords are long phrases 4+ words that are usually quite specific e.g. SEO for your YouTube channel. Each of these long-tail keywords doesn’t get a high search volume, but when added together, they make up the majority of online searches. If you enter a body keyword into Google and scroll to the bottom of the search results, you’ll see a list of “related searches” for that keyword.
Say your Keyword – verbally saying your keyword a few times is like keyword density for videos. Say it naturally, don’t just say it to say it. Including partial matches is also good.
Length Is Strength – this applies to both videos and content on your site. Longer videos rank high because people can find everything they’re looking for, especially tutorials and reviews. People will spend more time watching your video and you will probably get more engagement. There is no perfect length, but try to make videos at least 10 minutes, you’ll see better results.
HD Quality – you can use your phone, but a nice HD video camera makes a big difference. If you’re recording your computer, make sure you check the settings for optimal video + audio.
Get to the point – edit out all unnecessary pauses and be concise. I am super picky about this and noticed a huge difference in my video’s engagement.
Make Yours Betters – better than whoever’s in the top results, that’s what SEO’s all about.
Upload to multiple platforms
If people are able to find your video in different platforms, then it is high likely to be at the top. What you can do is to post your video on YouTube then share it in other platforms. Do not resort to only self-hosting your videos. This is problematic for several reasons. If done properly, self-hosting can help with your website’s SEO, so including a video on your landing page is also highly effective in increasing conversions.
